Hey,
mobo : GA-EP45T-UDR3
RAM : 2 2G DDR3 Transcend
GPU : Leadtek P9800GT --- card I want to replace
case : Gigabyte Triton Gaming Chassis
CPU : Core 2 Quad 2.6GHz
PSU : Not sure but should be safe for what I have in mind
I'm looking to buy one of the EVGA GTX460s , only thing is there are 2 to choose from
this one :
EVGA 01G-P3-1371-ER GTX460 Free Performance Boost 1GB nVidia GeForce GTX 460 GPU [01G-P3-1371-ER]
and this one :
EVGA GTX460 SuperClocked 1GB nVidia GeForce GTX 460 GPU [01G-P3-1373-KR]
with price increases in descending order lets say
1 = 250 ; 2 = 280
Now what I want to know is , would the performance difference between 2 and 3 be noticeable to the untrained eye or should I dish out the extra 30 for a real boost? Also , would 3 then be less stable than 2 because of the "superclockingness"
By the way....
Are there any specifically reliable card brands? I picked EVGA because they seem like a solid brand but if I am mistaken please point it out
