I am officially upgrading my dinosaur video card for a new one and cuz I have AGP my option are limited after doing some research found this 2 to fit my tight budget

GeForce 6800XT
GeForce 7600GS
which one is better and why?

also I found 2 GeForce 7600GS

ASUS 7600GS DDR
eVGA 7600GS DDR2

The question is what is the difference with DDR1-2-3?
I checked my motherboard manual and only says DDR so I guess its DDR1 is it compatible with DDR2?

The 7600 GS should be much faster than the 6800 XT:

The 7600 GS just all around has more horsepower.

DDR vs DDR2 has to do with the video card memory, it has nothing to do with what memory is supported by your motherboard. DDR2 memory is generally quite a bit faster than regular DDR.

evga 7600GS DDR2 is the fastest card you have listed...and they're (evga) a good company as well, have fun!
