in the evergreen vs fermi throw down we saw nvidia without a dual gpu.. gf100 was just incapable of becoming a dual gpu that would work.
as a result amd walked all over them.
as history has shown when someone steps all over nvidia's back to claim victory they get mad.. real mad. the g92 is a prime example of their fury.
today they have formally announced that ASUS's MARSII gtx 480x2 is canned and that a gf110 dual gpu is in the works.. behld the gtx 595!!!

sporting 3 dvi outputs she is 3d vision surround ready and has either 2 gtx 580, dual 570 or one of each core in its pcb. and will require 2 8-pin power connectiors AT MINIMUM
rumors persist of 3gb gddr5 or 1.5gb gddr5 but that cant be confirmed.
now if dual 580 cores are in the cards it will certainly start taking ARES + 5800 combo's to school
