So I'm building my first rig, and someone at Mmo-champion linked me over here to compare the 5770 to the 5830.

http://tinyurl.com/2wr8cop - this is the card I was looking at. The main difference I'm noticing between this and the 5770 is the memory interface: 256 vs 128 bit.

I'm just wondering if I will notice a difference between these two cards, performance-wise. If I can save a few bucks on this build, then I'm going to haha. The games I'm going to be playing mainly are WoW and Starcraft II, and those are CPU intensive games rather than GPU (so I'm told.) Still leaving it open for FPS games though in the future, however.

Thanks!

EDIT: Here's the build I'm going for. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16065166

Depends on your resolution and AA settings.

If you intend to game at/above 1920x(whatever) and/or use 4xAA or higher, get the 5830 without question. Otherwise, it's probably not going to matter for most games.

ya its not going to really matter 5770 vs 5830

the only thing is this, for the price of a 5830

you can buy a 6850, which is faster than either card
