Clueless...

I need help with a new graphics card for my computer. I bought Oblivion and it plays like crap, so it's time to upgrade. I've got a 3.0 ghz pentium 4 w/ 1gb of ram and currently an ATI Radeon X300 SE 128 mb card. I don't want to spend more than $180 on a new card, but I can't figure out for the life of me what's gonna get me the most for my money. The more reviews I read and research I do, the more confused I get. Any advice and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I don't care about ATI or Nvdia, just looking for a good card. thanks in advance...

7600 GT...they're on newegg right now for under $160...and they're about 10 times faster than your x300...

I agree with Mike.Go with the 7600GT and dont be sucked into getting the exclusive design ones.They're useless, you can oc them yourself. I learnt the hard way...:lol:

Thanks for the advice guys. I've looked over alot of reviews and have done quite a few comparisons...and I can't find a better card for the price. I'm going to order one from Newegg this week. This site is a lifesaver...
