my BFG9800GTX http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr98512gtxoc2e.aspx (the one i have right now.)
wish product HIS HD4870 http://www.hisdigital.com/us/product2-414.shtml
9800GTX vs HD4870 (standard) http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=559&card2=564
So I guess you already know what my question is.Will it be worth it to get that HD4870 over my 9800GTX? .You can see from the comparison(not the one on gpureview.com) that the HD4800 has only 770MHz on the Shader Clock(i think) and my 9800GTX has 1782MHz(overclocked from BFG site) a part from that HD4800 has everything higher.
My PC specs are, Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4 GHz box,Kingston HyperX 4x1GB DDR2 800Mhz CL4 and of course the BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX OC2 512MB PCIe 2.0, the power supply is a Chieftec over 600 or 650 if i remember correctly and i can't remember exactly my motherboard but it's a not so cheap not so expensive product.I made this PC in the summer of 2008 with high detail checks over the internet and forum advice, reviews and comparison can't remember the price maybe @ 800/850 euros thats about 1000 US dollars/1200 US dollars in my country.
I'm a gamer,I enjoy games on full detail and the 9800GTX delivered so far quite impressive i think, but I'm starting to think that I'm running behind now and most of friends and from what I see on the web,the reviews and how much this HD4870 is talked about I'm thinking it's time to get one,I only play games two days a week but for those two I wanna make the best of it for the present and for the future,so is it a good investment for the present and future?should i sell my GTX and but it?your call !
Thank you in advance, Gino.
PS: Sorry for my English :')
