Hi guys, I just want to ask if the amount of memory a computer has (mine has 2GB) is somehow related to the memory bandwith of a graphics card?

nope

not related at all

unless he has AGP?

No .
They simply aren't connected in any way .

Well, let's see....

If you cross the memory controller and interconnect the CMOS interconnector with the flow channels across the GPU, then maybe......?

Nope, can't see how there'd be any relationship--even in nonsense land.

with the plasma flow injectors !!
it just might work then !

Well , if you were to throw a bucket of salty water at your PC while it's working , you'd most likely create an electrical connection between those components ( and all other components too ) .
But I would advise against such an activity .

Do you mean in the way that ATi and Nvidia cards use hypermemory and turbocache, repectively?
In that case, yes they are, but it just increases the amount of memory the card has, it doesn't actaully improve the bandwidth.

no wuka

we're taking about ddr2 in the system or ddr3

vs ddr3 or ddr5 on video cards

they don't interact..
