Ok so I will put a mash of problems that I have, as I will copy and paste this on several forums (I'm going desperate, need help soon).

1. Recently I bought a 220gt. Now my old card was a 120, and after installing driveres and everything (on displayh settings, it shows gt 120 for example it says displaying at 800x600 on gt220) for some reason I am getting WORSE performance on games than before. I heard it was supposed to be loud, I cant hear it, I checked the card for a 8pin connector for power but found none, is there one?
On a quick note that has me worried, while playing dead space, I was playing fine when my computer blacked out. The computer was still on but the screen said No VGA detected, what the hell hapened?

2. Me ethernet drivers have stopped working, I think this was shortly before I removed the Nvidia drivers from my computer (I removed all Nvidia drivers) either way, I ahve tried everything and it is not working. When I go to the device manager, here are the things that are not working:
Coprocessor (under storage devices)
Ethernet Controller
SM Bus controller (both under other devices)

My computer is the gateway lx6810

Please help me!
Thx

First off, you were probably better off sticking with the GT 120, as the GT 220 isn't much better. If you want a performance upgrade, look at a GT 240 or higher, or even an ATI 4770 for better performance. And your problem with the screen blacking out, did you check to see if the monitor cable came unplugged or the videocard wasn't installed properly? Otherwise, it might have been a driver issue or overheating causing the crash. And, if I recall correctly, the nVidia 9500 GT, GT 120, and GT 220 are all the same card, just rebranded (and probably the same with the GT 320!).

And about your ethernet, did you try the drivers from Gateway? If not, try here for the drivers for the Gateway LX6810 on Vista 64 bit. Try the motherboard and BIOS drivers first.

Hope this helps!

Well I fixed the ethernet problems, I updatred the drivers and made sure they were in atch with my windows version, and still nothing, the game runs fine and then suddenly crashes out of nowhere. The cables are connected so it's not that.
I will get a new card in a couple of months, this will have to do for now.

does the game crash at the same point ?

if not, i'd say the card you got is bad
