PSU power for Sapphire ATI Radeon HD3850 8x

I'm interested in buying Sapphire ATI Radeon HD3850(http://bit.ly/36g6Rt) 512MB GDDR3, 256bit, AGP 8x graphics card and I was wondering if my 450 WATT PSU will support this GPU.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 procesor 3000+, Socket 754.
2 GB of RAM DDR400
80 GB HDD
19'' Monitor
I currently have Ati Radeon 9200SE

I'm thinking that this GPU will bottleneck my system but I really wanna buy it..and I don't know exactly if my PSU supports it.

And I don't afford to buy a new system. Could you recommend another top AGP 8x 1.5 V card if this ATI Radeon HD3850 it's not recommended for my specs.?

That processor is going to be a nasty bottleneck for that card. You would be much better off going with a 3650.

The 3850 is running $90+ right now and your system will likely get exactly the same performance out of the $65 3650. That's really the end of the road for that PC's upgrades. You also shouldn't need to do anything about the PSU with the 3650.

I'd honestly suggest that you save up your money to get a whole new system a little while down the road instead though. You have no further upgrade path with that one. Right now you can build a decent system for $500-600 with dual core CPUs and DDR2 being so cheap.

HD 3850 will be more than your system can use like I PM'ed you. I prefer it over the HD 3650 so I know for sure my system can do no better despite the bottleneck.
