So, I was going through my large bin of (mostly useless) computer parts to clear up some closet space..and I came across two old videocards.
One appears to be a Trident "3Dimage", the other a 3Dfx of some sort.

Any idea of what models they are?

First one is a voodoo2, looks like 8mb. Second one says it's a trident 3d image 9750, I don't know too much about old trident cards.

Definitely a voodoo2. I had one of those coupled with my Diamond Viper V330. That voodoo2 was sweet ass in quake2 while in college.
Yep, cost me 300 bones! LOL

... as for the Trident one, IIRC there were many suppliers that used the Trident chipset. I think I actually worked with that particular card in the past myself. I don't remember the rebadgers (badger song ftw) but I'm pretty sure there was more than just the one card by Trident.
In any case, keep looking. Those aren't old enough. I want to see some ISA / VLB video cards. :D

This was a sweet video card in the day. (No fair right clicking and looking at image name). Know what it is?

Cmon, I'm not an old fart like you. These cards were before my time.
My first computer came with a Radeon 7000, then I upgraded to an FX5200, then back the 7000 when the FX died. Now I have my X800GTO2.

If I was a video card manufacturer, the names of my cards would be something like <year><a,b,c,d based on performance line><RAM>
so like a BFG 7900 GTX 512 would be BFG 2006A-512. These stupid number systems make everything nebulous.

Oh, and that "beaut" above is, of course, the S3 Virge.
:w00t:
Rocked Quake at 640/480 software accel many-a-times with that bad boy.
Pixelated Quad Damage FTW!

I play Quake/Unreal Tournament/CS 1.0 at school still; they're still more fun than a lot of the new games out IMHO. And I still dominate all :D .
lol..i think my school still has tribes
Anyone ever played that before???

What? Kids don't actually DO work in grade school these days. I spent the first week of school figuring out the admin password (which was overly simple) and the next week making a list of how to get around the firewall.
So..I spend 60% of my time at school fragging all my peers.
I managed to get Unreal 2k4 loaded up across the network today, it even runs alright on the newer systems.
:D

Haha, nice. Well, I'll say this - if you're learning that at least you're not passing notes or something along those lines.
I just think it says something about the quality of our schools these days. It's going downhill.
One thing still holds true though:
As my AP Physics teacher said, "If you know enough to fake your work and make it look like you did the work, then the goal has been achieved. I don't care if you can look up the answers in the back of the book. If the flow of getting to the correct answer is there, you're golden."
-Jason
lol..ColonelClaypool3..could you show me how to find out the admistrative passwords???:D :D

Ha. Sounds like a good teacher. Last I heard, about 75% of the AP classes are getting cut at my school. Which means that over half of my schedule for next year has to be re-done.
On a good note: SCHOOL IS FINALLY F#$%ing OVER! :D
