It is not too long before we start seeing video cards that are DX10 and fully HDCP compliant.
I think we should begin listing the highest version of DirectX that each card will work (well) with.
Also some people (like me) are gonna be looking for cards that are HDCP compliant.

Is there some way to make these part of either the "At A Glance" or "Details" listing for each card?

DirectX info will be easy for cards that are 2-3 generations old (DirectX 8-9c) and the rest will take some real hard reasearching I bet.

There are no fully HDCP compliant cards out yet so it it should be easy to get a jump start on that and catalog them as they roll in.

I of course will do all I can to help gather correct data for both of these new data fields.

This might help when figuring out what cards support what DirectX version.

DirectX is already there. As far as HDCP goes, HDMI is just one possible output like VGA or DVI, which I think is sufficient for now since I don't think any cards will be coming out that have HDMI outputs without HDCP support (since it would be pointless)...

Time will tell on that one. And FYI, here are my current plans for the site as far as what to add to the card pages etc:

1. Have pages for every manufacturer and give users the ability to rate them on reliability, overclockability, service quality, bundled software, etc etc

2. Have pages for each manufacturer technology (smoothvision,
intellisample etc) explaining them and contrasting them with competitors solutions.

3. A wiki of video card information to contain #2 as well as how-tos on overclocking, installing, cleaning, and anything else you'd do with a videocard.

4. A database of in-house videocard reviews on a set testbed so all results are comparable, and then a nice interface to extract that info on the card pages for side-by-side comparisons.

5. I want to make it so forum members have a special page to show off their rig and submit benchmark information for their pc...this would give them a nice place to link to for bragging rights, and could potentially give me a huge amount of benchmarking data.

6. With the help of a couple other people, keep track of news and events related to video cards on the various main pages (which I currently don't really do anything with).

7. Monitor the inventory of major e-tailers like newegg or mwave to determine product availability and automatically find good deals on nice cards.

Lots more I can't think of right now, but yeah, I have big plans...:)

Great suggestions, Evil.

... and I just realized - you don't live that far away from me. I live in Bristow near the Nissan Pavilion in VA.

One of these days we're going to have to have a GPUReview get together - maybe some day that Mike is in town. We can have a grill fest in my back yard and talk the night away about sprites, polygons, and artifacts - OH MY!

:D

DirectX is already there.

Shazbot!
I looked really carefully for it before posting (so I wouldn't sound stoopid) and I did not see it.

I think you added it sometime between 4:47PM and 7:00PM!
You are sooo sneaky and quick, just like Jolly Ol' St. Nick.

Jason I live in Baldwin and I work at the crossing of Highway 26 (W and E) and 695 (the beltway).

DirectX has been there since the beginning...no sneakery involved...:)
