For those wanting a good deal on an Evga 512MB 8800 GTS...

You should all go to this [H]ardware review site that I [H]appen to frequent. If you don't get the [H]int by now, just give up.

UPDATE 1-30-08: The promo code is still working today and the card is still in stock.

No. It is only for the readers of that site. If you read the site, you will understand my clue, then you can get the deal. I don't want to piss them off (the site) by telling hundreds of people that don't read their site about a deal they have posted for their readers.

@Evil Incarnate

Tell that to [H] for doing what you're trying not to do to newegg. newegg sends codes to its subscribers, then [H] plasters them all over the internet for ppl who have never even heard of newegg (n00bs).

@wyz135 You got the name of the site wrong and going to their review of that card will not help you.

Newegg emailed me the same deal. It's annoying, I bought an EVGA 8800GT SC from egg for $289.99, why can't I step up at the real 8800GTS price, instead of $359.99 like EVGA charges on their site.. Bleh.

good old (text removed)! that site is cool by me. But times a'wastin, and I can't make up my mind.Also, going deeper into NewEgg you'll find several 8800gts/512 card a bit cheaper than the evga price, though not all are overclocked, and I'm only speaking of the ones in stock ;)
good luck!

@Xteam You can't participate because:

1. The contest you mentioned is over, the winner has been selected.
2. To win that contest you had to make one post in the contest thread before it closed.

Also, that contest has nothing to do with this story or the promo code for the 512MB 8800 GTS.
