Evga and BFG trade in program news!

Evga has extended their trade in program from 90 to 120 days in celebration of the 9800 GX2 launch. Be advised that this is a limited time offer and that after the offer is over, the program will go back to 90 days.

BFG is launching their "Trade Up Program" today. Their program features a 100 day trade up period but only graphics cards launched after February 21 2008 are eligible right now. That means that if you bought a 9600 GT, you can trade up to a 9800 GX2. That is a "trade up" of over $400. Their program will probably become more attractive after cheaper 9,000 series cards (like the 9800 GTX) are launched.

Wow my campaign of hammering the EVGA Step-Program has yield another 30 days... for a while! What's interesting I was in the Step-Up Terms and Conditions page this morning it appears to be the same old thing. So now if you purchased a G80 GTS or GTX before Christmas they%u2019ll let you send in your card (box packaging and all minus any free games) and you%u2019ll get the opportunity to ante up another 200-350 for what is looking as a 20-25% gain. Face it to trade in an 8800GT for a 9800GTX2 you%u2019ll probably pay another $400 for what really ends up only provides running an even bigger panel. You%u2019d need to see yourself as an %u201Cup and coming%u201D ubber-gamer to consider such a course. Keep playing the GT and watch the GX2 plummet in price over the next several weeks. This is just a card that breathed new life in the same G92 chip. It%u2019s just a placebo card brought to you by Nvidia so they can really squeeze every bit of FAB process from chips are now at full yield. For most all mainstream gamers it is Sucker Bait%u2026.while for the hardcore will be %u201Chave to have%u201D to prevent getting their behind%u2019s taken out!

What? So my BFG 8800 GTS 512 isn't applicable? That's awful.
