Buy the HD 2900 Pro now. (Quick, before it's reviewed!)

Newegg added a ton of new video cards to its store today, but the only card that is truly new is the HIS HD 2900 Pro. It is pretty rare for a card to become available for purchase before reviews have been posted on it. If you guys see any reviews, post the links in the comments so that people can make an informed purchase decision.

Newegg HIS HD 2900 Pro 512MB GDDR3 for $279.99

EDIT:

Mad props to spydag for finding this "Early Test" review over at TweakTown

nope.the rv670 is produced with 55nm technology.

AMD plans to launch Radeon HD 2900 GT on October 8th at US$199(140 euro) while HD 2900 Pro continues to be in limited supply at US$249(180 euro). The existence of these 2 cards are just to get rid of the R600 stock that didn't attained XT speeds before RV670 comes along in November. However, HD 2900 XT, GT and Pro will reach EOL by end of October so the lifespan of the two new cards is really short. Radeon HD 2900GT will sport only 240 stream processors instead of 320 and a 256-bit memory interface instead of 512-bit for the 2900 Pro. HD 2900 GT card uses 256MB of GDDR3 memories while 2900 Pro card is able to use 512MB to 1GB of GDDR3/4 memories. Both cards are clocked at 600MHz core and 1.6GHz for the memories.

RV670 is 55nm based, has 320 stream processors and a 256-bit memory interface.
There will be 2 SKUs; Revival and Gladiator , the TDP for Revival is 104W and Gladiator is 132W. AIB partners have already received the Revival sample cards and design kit so we can expect to see some nice cards at launch. Gladiator cards will be next. AMD plans to launch RV670 by mid November with prices range between US$229(162 euro) and $299(212 euro).

Gladiator is clocked at 825MHz core and 1.2GHz memory while Revival is clocked at 750MHz core and 900MHz memory. Gladiator has 512MB of GDDR4 memory and Revival comes with either 256MB or 512MB of GDDR3 memory. These cards will be single slot and is fully DX10.1/SM4.1 compliant. It supports PCI Express 2.0, UVD as well as the next generation Crossfire technology.
RV670 is scheduled for sampling in September, MP in December and expect it to launch in end 2007 or early 2008. RV670 will be officially known as Radeon HD 2950 Pro

The 512MB version costs US$249 while the 256MB version costs US$199The G92 cards will be using either Qimonda or Hynix 1ns GDDR3 memories.G92 reference card is 9-inch long, same length as the GeForce 8800 GTS but it is single slot. The PCB version is P393. The 1ns DDR3 memories are arranged in 16Mx32x8PCS array.G92 supports PCI Express 2.0, 50GT/s texture fill rate, Pure Video Gen 3, HDMI and uses display port.

Does the 2900PRO need less power than the 2900XT?

It would make a lot more sense for this to have locked pipelines. Just like the X1950 Pro. But I guess this is like the X1950XT instead.

Yeah , it eats 65W less than the HD 2900 XT . Anyway , judging from that review , this card is MUCH better than I first gave it credit for . Honestly , I doubted it'd even come close to the 8800 GTS 320MB . It's the next X1950 Pro it seems .
http://pclab.pl/art28806.html It's in polish :( can't understand anything .
