The card that started the SLi craze. Back in 1998 this card was all the rage. And two of them in SLi (which stood for scan-line interleaving) couldn't be beat.

Not only that, but the card also had very decent longevity - even when Geforce2 and Radeon were out, people would still use a Voodoo2 for Glide compatibility.

I still have my Obsidian brand dual Voodoo2 card (2 voodoo2 12M cards sandwiched onto eachother to plug into one PCI slot). Good times. And these were all passthrough cards, right?

Yeah they were all pass-through. If you ever feel like letting go of that obsidian board, let me know...:)

I had so much fun with V2 SLI. I hung onto my 3dfx gaming rig until late 2002 when the cards started to die of old age.

Looking at the pics, I think that there were a pair of these in storage in my computer tech class last year.

wish I'd grabbed 'em

Ive seen this card running DOOM 3 ( check it on google, its true ), and although the game seems like it was released like 10 years ago, it is a great success getting a game like that running in hardware released in distant 1998.
