Does this card really needs 1 GB of memory? Similar cards (in performance) like the HD 4830 and the 8800GT have 512 MB as the most common amount of memory.

You don't get any performance boost with 1GB on this card. It's purely marketing.

The GPU for this card is incorrect. It does not use the same die as the 5700-series cards.

Anandtech has a good overview of the GPU specs in their review: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3720 (They've stopped using the RV8xx code names in favor of Redwood/Cedar/Cypress/Hemlock in all the reviews I've read lately)

Im upto buy this card , what is the difference between Sapphire radeon and xfx radeon , If ther is any diffrence which is better to buy?
(xfx seems to be costly tha sapphire)
