The next X1550... doesn't perform anywhere near what it's number suggests

DX10 support... hahah... DX10 with 10 FPS , what good does DX10 do without the performance ? What is really sad about my X1600 Pro , is that this card is actually faster than mine .

Nice cheap to run Vista and some old games like CS:S and the like

The 4650 is $5 more

Though the 4650 is crippled as well, it's still worlds better than this thing

This is just for those who would like all the latest encoding features as a upgrade off on board 6150, but need relay low watts.. and half hight. Yes it not for gaming, while McArthur is right ...the 4650 would be a great buy if the hadn't crippled it with only GDDR2 and the lower bandwith, althought then it would compete dirrectly with the 4670. Or if the 4650 could be a 30 watt, with only 256 of GDDR3 and found in half hight card it would've push this out.

@Casecutter

If they just wanted the encoding stuff, a 4350 does the job for $15 less

I have this card and I can play GTA IV with 23FPS and resolution of 1280X800. So I don't understand these people who say this card can run only CS...

They should release an AGP version!

The 4300/4500 series are perfect for old CPUs (from the AGP mb era) that can't handle HD decoding. These card would revive such systems.

The HD4650 is an overkill for such systems, since the CPU is the bottleneck when trying to play modern games.
