Both of you deserve to be shot.

A lot of people care about Quadro, actually.
Graphics cards are NOT all about gaming! There are professional uses for them too in industry! And such specialist cards are needed.

Mike, if you see in Wikipedia's page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadro) the FX3700 has somewhat higher clock speeds.

No luck on Shader speeds, though.

mike, i just installed mine and used gpu-z 0.1.7 which shows gpu clock 500 mhz memory clock 800 mhz shader clock 1250 mhz.

groovy? for shelling out 4x the $ of a comparable geforce just to get a driver with opengl routines tuned for cad instead of quake? anyway, solidworks ain't that groovy...

In all fairness, half the card is in the drivers. Very few people seem to be aware of that as by the time they get the card its drivers are allready in rev 200 or something. Same amount of work smaller consumer base = higher cost.
