Finally, laptop users get a 7950 GT for their laptop, only with half the RAM, so its basicly a pretty highly overclocked 7900 GT.

Woops did'nt notice that. Mike is this hdcp compliant or not? If it is it's a 7950gt just higher clocked, if not its a 7900gt clocked higher aswell.

I check around, I'm not sure if this has HDCP support or not. It probably depends on the laptop manufacturer.

Laptop graphics cards are not easily interchangeable due to the small interior space inside laptops. The cards are often designed to fit specific laptops. So if you did manage to buy one, you would have make sure that the shape, size and heat producing parts of the card will work in your laptop.

There are companies out there that are trying to get laptop manufacturers to adopt some standards so that things like graphics cards can be easily upgraded. If I find news on this topic I will post it on the front page of this site.

I have a Alienware m5790 with the ati x1800, 256 memory. I would like to know if anyone would know, if I can exchange the x1800 with the geforce go 7950 gtx mxm3 video card?? the core clock is only 25mhz faster, and form factor is the same. any help I would thank you.
